Beach, Disney, and cute cousin Miley!

So I just got out of school (finally) this past Friday. I literally walked out of my last test and got in the car to head to California. What better way to put the first year of med school behind me than to visit the golden state for a few days. Our friends Cameron and Staci and their daughter Makayla decided to make the trip with us and we all loaded up in their car for the long drive. We had an absolutely awesome trip, which started with a trip to the Beach for boogie boarding, bocci ball, and our friend Matt's 30th birthday bash. Then we crashed Ben and Sheri's house and held their new baby Miley (2 weeks old) as much as we possibly could. Cameron was kind of upset at first when Sami held Miley. Cam freaked out and cried and cried every time Sami held her (I think he was a little jealous). But after awhile Cam warmed up to his new little cousin and even held her himself. I think they are going to be good friends. On Sunday, Chanel and Brooklyn came to visit and brought their cool kids blow up pool with colored balls. Cam couldn't get enough of that! Monday included a FULL day at Disneyland. We were there from about 8:30am until 9:30pm. Cameron did so well and we all had tons of fun. Although, Cam might have fallen asleep in the middle of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride (I know...how do you fall asleep with all the music and cannons blasting?...crazy kid!). He loved the parade and got a little scared on the Pinocchio ride (it is actually really dark...and clown-like). He also got to meet some of the characters and loved Mickey and Minnie and Winnie the Pooh. After a long day at Disney, Sami's cousins Holly and Spencer put us up for the night. At last we made the long trek home, with an overnight pit stop at Staci's parent's house in St. George. Thanks everyone for the great trip!

Cam's Haircut and Blackeye

So we cut Cam's hair awhile ago, but we never got some after shots. Let's just say it wasn't a good haircut experience and he was so warn out from crying that he fell asleep early. I bought some clippers and Tyson just went for it.

So the after pictures are really pictures of his black eye, but you can still see the hair. All his curls are gone.

Still not sure exactly how he got his black eye, somewhere on the playground. he doesn't know how it happened either.

I'm an Aunt (and Tyson's an Uncle)

Our family is so excited to welcome Miley Ward into the family. My sister had a baby girl Friday morning. She is just adorable. We can't wait to meet her!

The Bee's Game

We went to a game last week with Tyson's Medical Class (don't worry it war sprinkling and cam's bed time)

Cam with the Bee was hilarious. One minute he loved him, the next he was scared saying, "mama mama mama, plus shrieking"

Zoo Trip with Daddy

This was awhile ago. But, Tyson managed to come home early and we got to go to the zoo for the first time as a family. But, we didn't even get a family shot. That was dumb. Here's pictures of Cam enjoying the day.

We Did It!

4th Street Clinic 5K

Six of the first year med school wives got to together and had this crazy idea to run a 5K. My plan was to train and be all ready instead. Instead I ran once before(maybe a half mile). So I was prepared to die.

My sister-n-law and mother-n-law also ran with me. We stayed together the whole time. I was so proud of us we ran pretty much the whole thing. We walked a few times on the up hill at the end.


And were off!!!



We made it. Oh, and by the way we got together and made shirts. So fun!!

P.S. I was so sore the next day!

Easter

We spent Easter weekend in Brigham City with the fam. Saturday we had a Easter egg hunt (118 eggs). Tyler and Ben were fighting over eggs to get the grand prize. Cam found like one egg opened it and was satisfied. He just got scarred when we yelled go and everyone was running.

Then that night we dyed eggs. Then we got our baskets in the morning and went to church in our Sunday best.


Easter morning after he found his egg with his name on it. He was kind of a grump because he wasn't feeling good (hence the pacifier still in)

The Easter bunny got him a golf set. Everytime he hit the ball we cheered.

Just goes to show how fun Cam was being. He really wasn't himself. But, he is getting better. Just very tired.
