Count Down is On!!!

Four days until school is out and I retire for awhile. Crazy!!! I'm going to miss Westmore. It's been a second home to me. But, I am so excited to be home with Cameron and Tyson. Which brings me to my next count down FIVE DAYS UNTIL WE GO TO ITALY!!!!!
(yeah, can you believe it. We are going to Italy.)

We are going with the Jones'. We will be gone for nine days. We fly in to Germany and will spend the day there. Then Tyson's high school buddy served his mission in Italy so his friend Jonathan (Italian) is picking us up in a van and we are going all over Italy. Way fun. We plan on taking loads of pictures so get excited.

The only sad part is that we are leaving Cameron. It will be hard, but he is staying with my parents and they couldn't be more excited about the whole thing.

Graduation!!!!...and other good times!

Hooray! I have officially graduated from BYU! I know graduation took place like two weeks ago, but ever since then I have been Mr. Stay-at-home-and-care-for-Cameron Dad. So I haven't really had any time during the day to post anything. But I finally got him to sleep this afternoon and thought I'd update the blog a little bit. So graduation was long, but splendid. I walked in both the University one and the College of Life Sciences one. Elder David A. Bednar spoke at the big university one. It was fun to go through the whole process and yet, kind of surreal at the same time. I am really going to miss BYU...especially since we will be moving north to the U of U...I know, kind of sad and happy at the same time. My one regret about BYU was that I didn't take any advantage of a study abroad program. They have such renowned programs and I really would have enjoyed it. But anyway, BYU was such a wonderful experience and I am really going to miss it. I don't think there is any place like it in the world. But on to more adventures and more experiences.

Also, I just want to thank everyone who came and sat through the long, long, long ceremonies and also, thanks to those who were able to come to our little BBQ get-together after. Really, without such great support from my loving family and friends I really would not have been able to make it through.

So Cheers!!! to four years down and Cheers!!! to at least four more to go!

In other news, as I mentioned above I have been at home with Cameron every day for the past two weeks. It has been quite the change of lifestyle for me....I went from high stress, busy school to sitting on the couch and twirling a little plastic chain toy above Cameron's head for 8 straight hours. So needless to say, I have been getting a little stir crazy around the house. I have already read a couple books, and National Geographics, and watched every episode on the History Channel, Discovery Channel and the Travel Channel at least three times. So if anyone has any ideas on what else I can do to stay sane, suggestions would be welcome.

Cameron is still as sweet as ever. He is growing by the minute and is so alert and attentive all the time. We got him on film because he has started to roll from his stomach to his back! If I can figure out how to do it, I will post the footage.

Sami has been working extremely hard at school. They are in the middle of testing now and that is always a stressful time. But hopefully, after testing is done, she will be able to relax a little bit as the school year winds down. She will be officially done teaching at Westmore Elementary on May 31st!...But that means that we are going to have to figure out how to move all of here school stuff cluttering up her classroom....and that I am not looking forward to.

In addition to school, she planned a fantastico Cinco de Mayo party this past Monday. We had a big BBQ and played some killer crazy games such as pin the tail on the Gaucho, Taquito toss and Mexican relay. She also made a ghetto...I mean beautiful pinata that we smashed to pieces all for the Laffy Taffy's inside.

In lieu of posting numerous pictures of the Party here, I will just direct any viewers to some of our friend's posts (they beat us to posting pictures). Just go to the blogs of Steve and Allison Tiek, Ben and Sheri Ward, or Dan and Candace Brandt. (Click the links on the side of our blog). But here is a picture of Sami making her sweet pinata!

Well, sorry for such a long post...I just got carried away since we haven't posted in a while. More posts soon!
