Sheri and Miley

Last minute we got to go to Disneyland for the day. It was a surprise and treat. Tyson was sad he missed out. We had quite the group. My sister and two cousins all have season passes, so we met them and my cousins friend there. So, four adults with eight kids under three. We still did quite a bit and had a lot of fun.

We also went to the Lego Land aquarium, hung out at the park, played with Miley and visited lots of family. It was of course great fun!

California Beach Day

Literally, right after Thanksgiving we headed off to California with Tyson for some interviews in Cali. We stayed with Sheri while he drove around southern California.

Tyson got to come to the beach in between two of his interviews.

Snow Day

Back in November we had a a snow day that was awesome and we wanted to make an upside down snowman like I had seen on pinterest. Mission accomplished, it was awesome. If you don't know this about Cameron yet, he loves the snow.

Much Needed Update Way Behind

Thankful tree. I know I haven't posted since Thanksgiving. This is kind of when things got crazy with holidays, but I really have no excuse. We had this tree up on the back of our front door to write things we were thankful for. The kids loved doing it everyday. I think it will definitely be a new tradition. Unfortunately this is our only picture regarding Thanksgiving. We forgot our camera, but will get some from my sister some day. We had a great Thanksgiving with my family in Brigham and then with my extended family in Pleasant Grove. Yeah for remembering what we are thankful for and working on our blog. It needs a major update! Just be patient with me it is one of my new years resolutions to post every week, starting now!!

My dad's band was playing in Brigham City for their first annual witches night, so we went up and crashed the party. As seen in the video we had a great time.

Halloween

We didn't mess around for Halloween. We literally had a count down and tried to do something Halloween related everyday is October. We decorated our windows, put up decorations, made spider webs, went to pumpkin patches, carved pumpkins, read lots of Halloween stories (new favorite Goodnight Goon), frosted haunted houses, played ghosts, pretended we were witches on broomsticks, and went to Gardner Village.
Cameron and Kennedy loved seeing the witches especially playing baseball.

We went to several Halloween parties. The first party to kick it off was the one in our neighborhood. Here is Cameron and Kennedy with some of their friends.

Oh, and we painted mason cars to become jack-o-lanterns.

The next party was the first annual medical school party. Here is Lightning McQueen (Cameron). His box makes the costume. Good thing his dad is a perfectionist and found something to do with his recent time off. He did a great job and Cameron loved it. He even commented, "everybody loves my costume"

Later that week we went to the preschool party. Cameron has loved going to preschool and it was fun for all the siblings to come and have Halloween Party!!! They ate Halloween food, played BINGO (GHOST), did a cake walk, bobbed for apples, and ate donuts on string.

Now, to the actual day of Halloween. we love trick or treating at the local shopping center, we have done it ever year we have lived here.

It was fun to have Gavin and the Harris family join us in the fun.

The adult went with a Winnie the Pooh theme to march the Disney thing going on. Tyson was Christopher Robin and I was Piglet.

Tyson's parents are awesome and dressed up. We headed down there after the shops to have dinner and trick or treat around the neighborhood. If you can't tell Layne was Eeyore and Jeannine was Tigger.

Grandma Stansfield was also their to join in on the Halloween fun.

Hogle Zoo

Tyson's grandparents came down from Idaho on a nice sunny day, so we headed to the zoo.

Tyson loved that he got this picture with out them knowing. Like father like son.

What an awesome pumpkin patch. We had such a fun time there.

The apples were huge and delicious.

They had this mound of pumpkins that the kids proceeded to climb in and take pictures in.

Seattle Continues

Friday morning we headed to the Arboretum, near their house for a run/walk. It is so beautiful, so green and trees everywhere. We loved it!

This kid loves the outdoors and he's all about finding a good stick. After the Arboretum we headed home for homemade waffles and syrup (mouth still watering from the goodness, thanks Kimi). We got ready for the day and headed out to Snoqualmie Falls. It was a little hard to see the waterfall at the top, but it was a little clearer at the bottom. We didn't stay long because it was a little chilly, but it was still awesome!

Seattle Adventure

Wednesday night we headed to Seattle to visit Kimi and Landon. We drove all night and got there Thursday morning. Tyson's parents rented a van so we could all fit (our family, Tyson's parents, and Jenn). We were all so excited to see Landon, Kimi , and Olivia.

Cameron was so excited to hold his sweet cousin Olivia. He just loves her so much. Just today he was telling his friend how cute she is. I think the feeling is mutual, because Olivia watched him the whole time he was around.

Kennedy had to have a turn too. She tries to be so mothering already.

After we had fish and chips downtown and did some shopping (yeah for Tyson's knew suit), we went to a park near by. Jenn was cracking up on this contraption with Kimi.

They had this really cool zip tie swing that Cameron couldn't get enough of. He just loved it. I was very impressed at how brave he was on it. Kennedy enjoyed it to, she loves a good thrill.

Wheeler Farm (just before the real adventure)

9 stitches

Poor little girl fell at wheeler farm and hit her lip on one of those old tractors.

She got three stitches inside her mouth and 6 outside.

Since she is so young and such a fighter she had to be sedated. It took them three times to get her an IV. The nurse tried both hands, so then the IV team had to come. She was a pretty good trooper, through out the whole thing. She just had so many cords and looked way out of it.

We hung out at the hospital all day, since she ate right before it happened and for sedation they have to wait four hours with no food or drink. Cameron was so great, he loved the toys, lunch with dad, and the variety of shows they play.
While she was being sewn up Cam and I went to the cafeteria, but Tyson said she was such a fighter even during sedation. She was arching her back and biting down. They kept having to make sure her airway was clear, but they did it!

Here she is enjoying her Popsicle after coming out of it a little. Don't worry she already got one of the inside stitches out, before we left the hospital. Hopefully we can keep the rest in for awhile. We love this little girl so much, and hope that this is the last trip to the ER, but fear with her love for climbing and determination it may not be.

Hiking

Last week we went on two hikes. On Friday we hiked to Donut Falls. We love this hike. It is very family friendly.

Still a little chili in the morning, but warmed up on the way back.

Don't worry we ate donuts and our packed lunches when we got there.

Jungle Birthday Party

Cameron is Playing Soccer

We signed Cameron up to play soccer. He has been so excited about it. It is pretty much adorable. He just looks so grown up in his little uniform, shin guards, and cleats. His little friend Colton is playing on his team. He has had two games now and I don't know if the parents or the kids are enjoying it more.

Here he is warming up with his coach. Thier team is Orange Crush. They play for 30 minutes, and basically warm up for just as long. They just run around and the coach tries to direct them. So funny!

Here Cam is showing off his skills. He loves his knew green and black ball. Tyson told him it can only go on the grass because it will get ruined on the sidewalk. Shortly after when they were playing pass Tyson kicked it on the sidewalk. You should of seen how concerned Cameron was for his knew ball. After checking it out he said, "but, it's okay dad, it's okay."

Here he goes!!!

This was probably the high light of the first game. Right after he scored a goal (since he just happended to be cherry picking by the goal and the ball came). He kicked it a few times and then straight in, it was awesome! He was so excited!!!

The next game we had to talk about how it's okay if you don't score every game, and we need to not pick up the ball with our hands to line it up for the goal (may of tried that twice). All and all I think he is having fun, we still have some learning to do. Like not being upset when your team scores, because it wasn't you, and following the ball and not just wandering around. He seems to be getting the idea of the game better. We will see how the third game goes.
After the first week we asked him if he likes it and what his favorite part was and he said, "he didn't even know they were going to get a snack at the end". So take it for what it's worth.

peach days

So my family is all about peach days in Brigham City (BC). It has become the thing. This year we didn't mess around and we went pretty big. Since my grandparents 80th birthdays are both this year with in a few months we had a huge birthday peach day celebration. All my extended family came up for the event, except for a few in Arizona (we missed you). But, most of us were here from everywhere. Pretty impressive. Some went to the peach queen pageant, boating, 10K, Zoomba (with Jenn), parade, and then the birthday bash!

When there was a break in the parade several of my cousins and I grabbed this banner and ran in the parade in front of my grandparents. It was classic, and pretty much awesome. I think Aunt Debbie almost cried.

My dad's said, "I'm all about the peaches" and then my mom's had two peaches on her breasts. I know what do you do. We have been talking about shirts for a few years, but we really did it. So fun!

After the parade we headed to the girls home for the birthday bash. It was all about the giant slip and slide (out of billboards), food (especially peach cheesecake), and dancing. The Rollins just love to dance. Great entertainment!

Kennedy was a little unsure, but since Miley wanted to go with me mom also took Kennedy down. It was way fun. Faster than I expected, totally collided a few times.

Some friends of mine are taking turns teaching preschool. My friend has a room in her backyard that we turned into a preschool. It is pretty much awesome. Cameron is loving every minute of it. He looks so grown up in these pictures.

Kennedy had to wear a backpack just like her brother to go to Mae Mae's house while I taught the fist two weeks.

Blackfoot Eastern Idaho Fair

Cameron loved the parade. Especially the bear riding on a motorcycle.

We cheered for Megan supporting the 116th men and women (go Jordon, so glad he is back in the states)

Ward Camp Out

We decided to be brave and take on the adventure of the ward camp out this year. Quite a few of us were actually staying the night this year, so it was a lot of fun. The kids loved every minute of it. And we, surprisingly, slept better than expected.

Cameron was all about these bear signs. He was really worried about the bears, but luckily we didn't see any. Apparently they had one last year at this campsite, so they we pretty serious about them.

Swim Lessons

Cameron took swimming lessons for the first time. He did a great job. It was just in a preschool level class, so they played games, floated, and got used to the water. He isn't swimming yet, but we are getting closer. We took lessons with his good friend Makayla, so he had a great time.

The Hulls

Our last stop on the way home was by my cousin Holly's and her family. We grew up together and our kids are both very close in age. It was so fun to spend some time with them.

Owen and Cameron played in the pool and jumped on the trampoline. They have so much fun together. Another little boy came over (Jackson) and all three of them were having a blast!

Here's our precious little girl. I didn't get any pictures of Audrey, she was asleep and then I guess we put the camera away. They are going to be little buds too.

Visitng the Weddles

We went out and spent Sunday evening with Chanel, Eric, Brooklyn, and Gaige. It was fun to let the kids play and talk. Dinner and company were great!

They started playing ring-around-the-rosie and swinging each other around. Cameron and Brooklyn warmed up to each other again right when we were getting ready to leave. They were laughing so hard and having a great time!

This is what happens when you don't want to hold hands with Gaige. He totally pushed her down, but she's tough and her mom and dad were laughing to hard to comfort her.

These kids have such a good time together, plus it was good to see Chanel and Eric. Always a good time!

Sheri and Miley went to California Adventure with us.

We had to see the Disney Junior Show. Cameron, Kennedy, and Miley were way into it!

Sea World

At the hotel they were wearing mine and Tyson's glasses and cracking us up.

The kids were also very excited to go to Sea World. Most of all Cameron wanted to go see the Sharks. So we headed there first thing. They have this cool moving sidewalk where the sharks swim right over your head. We were all very much into it. Cameron has been on quite the shark kick and lucky for us it is Shark week on Discovery, so we have watched a segment on Ultimate Air Jaws probably 100 times.

They have this fun Seasame Street Land with rides and things for kids.

We went to most of the shows. It was fun to do something completely different than Disneyland in that way. We loved the Shamu, Dolphin, and Sea Lion and Otter Shows.

Since we were so close we went to Down Town Disney twice while we were staying there. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

Disneyland

Tyson had a break from school, so we took a vacation to California. We had such a fun time. We were completely exhausted when we got back, and are still recovering. We started our trip with a little bit of car trouble (apparently it had bad gas). It was de-accelerating on the freeway and stalled once, but we made it there and got it fixed in the shop while we had fun at Disneyland.

Layne and Jeannine were so nice to take us and the kids to Disneyland. We loved every minute of it. It was so nice to stay in a hotel right there. We even came home for lunch and attempted naps.

Cameron was so excited to be at Disneyland. After every ride he wanted to go on the next. He didn't get tired of it. They were both in heaven.

The Peter Pan characters were right next to the exit of Dumbo, so we ran over and got a picture. Cameron was so funny about Hook, he was worried he was going to be mean.

He wouldn't look at him. But, he talked all about it afterwards. And we went on the ride too!

Kennedy and Tyson skipped out of the line for Dumbo and went on the carrousel while we waited.

My dad is in a new band. They are pretty awesome! We went and watched them in the park the other night. It was really fun. My dad is the one on the far right, rocking on the bass. He is pretty much living his dream!

We went down to the Joneses for the actual fourth. Cam, Jen , and the boys went golfing, we had a BBQ, and did fireworks out front.

Tyson's brother Landon and his wife Kimi had their first baby girl Friday, June 24th. We were all so excited for the first cousin on the Jones side. She is the cutest little thing!

He was a little unsure at first, but he warmed up the the idea. I think seeing Kimi in the hospital bed worried him. You could tell he was thinking. When we left the room he was very concerned and asked Tyson where Baby Olivia came from, because she was in Kimi's tummy before? Tyson explained how before we were in heaven with Heavenly Father. he explained how Cameron was in heaven too before he came to live with us. Then, Cameron proceeded to say the cutest thing, he looked at Tyson concerned and asked, you took me away from Heavenly Father? He was really concerned and so we talked about how we will return to live with Him again. Kids are the best!

Ford Family Reunion

Every two years my mom's whole family goes up to this cabin in Paragonah, UT. I think this year there was almost 60 of us. We have such a great times playing outside, riding horses, shooting, crafting, and just hanging out!! The food is always amazing (thanks mom), lots of games, and crazy kids all around.

Hiking in St. George

Since we went hiking recently in St.George and couldn't find any lizards because Cameron was a little too loud. This next time we went Grandma (Tyson's mom) found lizard toys that we placed along the trail and Cameron and Kennedy found them. It was great fun!!!

Triathalon

My father-n-law competed in the triathalon in St. George quite some time ago, but it needed to be posted. So here it is. He did a great job and it was his first, so we all came to cheer him on.

Mothers Day

Thanks to all those who made it a special day for me. I have always had a love for mother's day because I was born on Mother's Day. I'm thankful for all the mother's in my life. My mother is amazing and i am so thankful for her. I also have a wonderful mother-n-law who is always helping us and supporting our family. My kids and husband are so sweet and I'm glad I could be the world's greatest treasure to Cameron (he told me it a dozen times Sunday, I know it is from a book we read, but it is still so sweet.) Cameron was also insistent he give me his fish game, so we could play it together.

Camping at Sand Hallow

After spending the weekend in St. George. We headed to the Allison's family cabin in Enoch, where the kids couldn't get enough of the farm animals. Then, it was on to the true adventure of our trip. Camping with four young children for two nights at Sand Hallow. Everything worked out great. The kids did well (Kennedy wasn't great the first night, as to be expected), weather was awesome (could of had warmer water 55 is a little chili, but still fun), food was great, and we just had a blast!

K, Cameron is a little pyro. He couldn't get enough of the fire. As we were looking at pictures of the trip on the computer, he wanted to see if we had one of the plates burning. He was really in to it.

St. George Fun

Tyson had the last two weeks off!!! We had so much fun!!! The first week we just did things around here with the kids; discovery gateway, the zoo, jungle gyms, sugar house park, and lots of errands. The second week we took off to St.George. We stayed in a hotel with Tyson's parents while Layne (father-n-law) was scoping out the bike trail for his triathlon. We ate out, swam in the pool several times, went to the park, walked around the temple, went to church, and walked around the narrows. The weather was awesome and the kids did great! It was such a fun time.

Cameron loved smelling the flowers. He is such a goof. This is after he repeatably hit the bush with a stick he found at the park "killing it" in his words.

What a sweet girl. Or as Cameron pronounces it gerl.

She always makes us laugh. This only lasted for about a minute and them she of course was determined to climb in with the flowers and lick them.

Cameron became brave and went down all the slides at the park in St. George. Don't worry Kennedy also goes down all of them. She is one, but thinks she is four. She climbs right up to them and goes down. Usually falling, but getting right back up. She has no fear and is a very determined little thing.

Can I just say that if you haven't spent a lot of time with our children they are very loud and Cameron will talk your ear off. When we went on this hike he was eating it up and seriously talking non stop. Kennedy just follows right along, as if she is saying don't you dare forget me.

There's our happy boy. The funnies part of the whole hike was Cameron was determined to find a lizard. But every time Papa spotted one they would run away before Cameron got there. We were really trying to be quite as to not scare them off, but it was pretty much impossible for Cameron and Kennedy. So, he didn't see a lizard until we were at Texas Roadhouse that night for dinner and right above us at the restaurant, low and behold, was a picture of a huge lizard. Cameron was so excited and kept telling us he knew we would find one. Later he say several camping.

Maybe he gets a little bit of his craziness from his mother. Oh well, got to love it!

We had such a good Easter. Of course like most holidays we probably over celebrated, but it was awesome! Cameron and Kennedy participated in several Easter Egg Hunts and Cameron was all about it!

Here we are at the resident council hunt. We also had a court hunt, MSA hunt, preschool hunt, and of course the annual hunt at my parents with the Bagwells.

My sisters and I are working on a craft blog. This is a sneak peak of what I will be contributing every month. (or something like it) It isn't quite ready to view, but soon and I was so excited about this stuff I wanted to make sure it is viewed. So enjoy!!!

Need some fun ideas for things to do with young children for the month of April? Here are some of my ideas and ones that I have found. Take a look and steal away, join in the fun. We are loving spring, especially when it is nice weather!

Easter Ideas
Pastel Colored Play-dough
We have been playing with homemade play-dough all month long. We love to use cookie cutters with it, plastic knives, and of course make lots of snakes and balls. Here is a great recipe. I have also heard it is fun to dye it with kool aide too! On the stove top heat:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
3/4 TBSP oil
1 TBSP cream of tarter
food coloring or kool aide

Rag Cloth Painted Easter Eggs
We got pastel colored paper, scraps I had laying around (purple, blue and pink). Then we used rags and dapped the paper with pastel colored acrylic paint. Let dry and cut into Easter egg shapes.

Egg Carton
Paint an egg carton all different colors and make it pretty to hold your hard boiled eggs in. We have plastic eggs in it right now. each one has a letter inside and we are using it for mini lessons with my three year old for capital and lower case letters as well as sounds and trying to write them himself.

Fun Ways to Dye Easter Eggs
Using Silk Tie's

Scuba Eggs/(from family fun magazine)

Materials: straw, water bottle lid, white label, marker, rubber band, hot glue, dye, and hard boiled egg.

Easter Eggs Hiding in the Grass: Craft for Kids (family fun): Spring & Easter Preschool Crafts for all abilities!
for Ages 3 Years and Up
Supplies Needed:

* Uncooked Spaghetti (10-20 strands)
* Green Food Coloring
* Plastic Bag (that seals closed)
* Rubbing Alcohol
* Waxed Paper
* White Glue
* White Foam Paper or White Construction Paper
* 3 Different Colors of Construction Paper
* Scissors

Time Needed:

* For Spaghetti: 5 minutes plus drying time
* For Craft: 15 minutes plus drying time

What To Do:

1. Break spaghetti into 2-3 inch pieces and put into a plastic bag.
2. ADULT ONLY: Add 5 drops of green food coloring and 2 capfuls of rubbing alcohol.
3. Remove as much air as possible and then seal bag closed and then tape closed.
This isn't ready yet. Notice the different colors. Keep "mixing' until it's uniformly colored
4. Shake the bag and gently move the spaghetti around until they look evenly colored.
5. ADULT ONLY: Pour colored spaghetti out of the bag and onto the waxed paper. Flatten and spread out spaghetti and let dry completely.
6. Cut out an Easter Egg shape from each color construction paper you've chosen.
HINT: Stack the 3 sheets of paper together and cut them out at the same time if you want them to look the same size and shape.
7. OPTIONAL: Decorate the eggs.
8. Glue the eggs to the white foam paper or white construction paper.

9. When spaghetti has dried use white glue to attach them to the bottom of the paper, under the eggs.
Try to put the grass on only 1 layer thick.
Overlapping pieces may not stick.
10. Let dry completely.
11. ENJOY! You're done! Show it off by hanging your masterpiece on the wall!

Easter Window Silhouettes (Studio 5)

You will need a roll of clear contact paper, paint brushes, paint (we used acrylic), fine sandpaper and masking tape. First cut a piece of contact paper from the roll. Cut squares about 5″ x 5″. Take a fine piece of sandpaper and lightly sand the shiny surface of the contact paper where you will be painting. Wipe off any dust. This step helps the paint adhere to the slick contact paper. Tape a piece of wax paper to the table to catch the mess. Tape the piece of contact paper shiny(sanded) side up onto the wax paper. Paint onto the contact paper square. Allow the painting to dry completely. Once the paint is completely dry take another square of contact paper the same size as your painting and peel off the paper backing. Cover your painting with the clear contact paper. Smooth out any bubbles. Trace around any shape of your choosing. Cut out the shape. Carefully remove the paper backing. This takes some time —-make sure you are only removing the paper (the back of your painting should be sticky). If you use acrylic paint it is plastic enough that it has a tendency to peel away from the contact paper, so peel carefully! If it does peel away and it won't stick back down just put a little glue stick between the layers. Once you are finished stick your silhouettes to your window. (taken from www.kidcraftweekly.com)

Remember Christ
Make a tomb out of a shoebox. Put a picture of Christ in it three days before Easter. On Easter Sunday take Christ out of the tomb and talk about how He is risen.
Make it a tradition to do the Easter Bunny and the hunts on Saturday.

Earth Day Ideas/Recycling

Go on a nature walk and collect things to make a nature collage.
Discuss what it means to recycle
Make a robot with trash items
Do some gardening or planting together (maybe plant grass)
Recyclable Egg Carton/Box Doll House (Family Fun)

Rainy Day Box April is known for it's crazy weather. But together a box for each child that has fun little toys or activities in it that are knew or not played with very often. Pull them out on these bad weather days. Also a good idea to have things like this for the doctor's office, long car rides, restaurants or church. They will play better with things they haven't seen recently. At least that is always the case with my children. A few suggestions that we like in our house for these types of boxes; puzzles, books, coloring book, little toy, snack, etc.

We had so much fun with her when she came. We went to Taffy Town, Discovery Gateway, the Zoo, fun in BC, and even threw a baby shower for my cousin in the mix of the trip. We miss you guys so much, can't wait to see you again soon!

Seriously so fun! In Cameron's words it was spectacular and grand. Because we have awesome friends they told us about taking canned food and scoring tickets to Disney on Ice. We got a ticket for Kennedy, but decided not to bring her (thanks again for watching her Staci), and Cam brought his friend Makayla.

I loved it and if you can't tell so did Cameron. When the characters all came out for the first number he leaned over to Tyson and said, "I can't believe it"They really but on a cool show and our seats weren't bad. If we drive by the Energy Solutions Arena Cameron will tell you all about how he wants to take you there to see Disney on Ice. So fun!!!!

St. Patrick's Day

I probably over kill most holidays, but we had a lot of fun with St. Patrick's Day (although the kids were sick again, second year in a row on the actual day).
Some fun things we did for the holiday:

several spring and rainbow themed FHE nights, one including rainbow sherbet
read St.Patrick's Day stories

made a rainbow on our wall with a treasure behind the T.V.

Crazy Times

So I have been way behind on my blogging. This past month has been busy in unexpected ways. I usually post about happy things going on, but since this is suppose to be our family journal I thought it was necessary I document some unfortunate things that have been happening. Poor Tyson, started his surgery rotation, which is long hours and he hasn't been loving it as much as others. So the first week in we get a call in the middle of the night from our neighbors that our house was flooding. Luckily, it wasn't that bad. The only major damage was the library books in the bag by the door. We did stay with the Joneses for a few night to let everything dry. It was just a super pain, our whole living room was outside and then moved into our other rooms to avoid the storm. Then, we have been in and out of sickness. First Tyson and then the kids. Blaze (Tyson's car) also broke down and we had to get it towed and fixed. Lastly, at my yearly check up at the doctors the doctor discovered a heart murmur. So, several weeks later after talking to family and seeing a cardiologist and getting an echo it turns out it this type of murmur runs in my family and I am fine, I just have this functional heart murmur that I have apparently had my whole life, but just found out about. So, some pretty crazy stuff as been happening, but through it all we have still felt very blessed and our little trials aren't munch when you think of what others have to go through. But, there's a little update. Fun posts to come. Sorry to be a downer.

Valentine's Day

So, I am all about holidays. I just love to decorate and do fun things with the kids. We tried to do something fun everyday in February until Valentines. I just wanted to write them down somewhere so I can remember them for next year. Some of the things we did included; manilla envelopes on doors where I put the activity for the day in, a heart hunt (taped hearts up all over the kids room), heart cupcakes, made a picture with glued tissue pare, jello jigglers, made valentines, for family and friends(snow globes), gum ball machines, taffy candy, heart sponge paint, valentine veggie tale movie, heart puppet, and a heart scavenger hunt to find little gifts.
And of course I had to add a precious picture of these two.

I may of went all out with the green and pink theme. But, I was pretty pleased how it turned out. This was the main table with pink and green candy for the guests to tale home in little to go boxes.

Kennedy is One

Where did the time go? She is already one. We just love our Kennedy. She is little Miss determined. She knows what she wants and you can't stop her. She is a lot more advenourous than Cameron ever was. She has no fear. I am constantly chasing her from climbing off the couch, chairs, and tables. She doesn't really play with toys as much as she climbs on them. She says a few words, but nothing on command. When you ask her to say something she looks at you as if she doesn't want to say that. She will give you five and blow a kiss (well she puts her hand over her mouth). She is usually very pleasant, a messy eater, and copies whatever cameron does. Some of the things she say:
Mom, dad, up, meow (cat), cam, bike, nana, on, off, and out.
her favorites: climbing on the little table, coffee table, chairs, aand couch.
pushing the vacuum, ans stroller (although she takes the baby out and tries to fit in the stroller.
pullling toys out and sitting in boxes, even when she clearly can't fit. Opening and pulling things out of all drawers.
Jumping in crib with Cameron and stuffed animals.
Trying to eat with a spoon.
Trying to color like brother.
Climbing up on the tool box to play with work bench drill, saw, and screw driver.
Kennedy is just the cutest little girl, she is always smiling and making us laugh. We love you!!

Cameron's Green Party

We got him a bike for his birthday. He had a hard time at first, but he has really gotten a hang of it now. It will be awesome when it is warm enough to go outside besides once every other week. He has gotten pretty good at riding it inside. We make a little path from the living room to his room and back and forth.

So, if you didn't already know green is Cam's favorite so we thought we would have a green birthday party. He was all about having a friend party, so we got the church and had some of the neighborhood kids come. It was a lot of fun!!

I thought it turned out pretty cute. I loved all the kids in the party hats. They were all asked to wear green. We had capri suns and mint in chip ice cream.

The best part was running around kicking green balloons.

Cameron was all about it!

We played a few games. Cameron, Kennedy, and I had been practicing all week. We played hot potato, musical chairs, and their favorite freeze dance. Oh, and red light green light at the end.

He had quite few friends come, it was a killer party!

Cameron's Third Birthday

He is just getting so big. We look at him and think were has the time gone. Cameron pretty much rules our lives. He has lots to say and lots of ideas. He is into lots of things right now but some of his favorites:

We are always laughing at the things Cameron comes up with. Actually is one of his favorite words. Anyway, we couldn't ask for a better boy (most of the time). He is so sweet and always wants to please others. We love you Cameron!

Temple Square

We went to Temple Square with the Baldwin's. It was crowded and the kids didn't last very long, but it was so good to see them. I think we had more fun at the house just hanging out. We'll plan on it again for next year.

Snowmobiling Experience

So, it was way last minute. But, we went snowmobiling with our friends the Schmidts. They have made it so the one can carry kids, so the three littlest were inside and Cameron and Abbey rode on the mobiles. Well we kind of chose the coldest day ever. Most things that could go wrong did, the one ran out of gas, the other one overheated, it got dark and we had to go home in the dark, but the worst part was Jon spent the night in the ER for carbon monoxide poisoning. We still had a good time. Thanks for the invite.

I don't know who was more excited for Christmas this year, us or the kids. It was really fun to have Cameron be so into it this year. He had been gearing up for it all month. As if we hadn't already been spoiled enough, Christmas was once again present over load. It was mess everywhere, but a ton of fun. It was great having my whole family there. Merry Christmas!!!

My mom's side of the family all get together for Christmas Eve. We have gotten to big for Grandma's house, so we had it at the church this year. We had a nice dinner and then our great talent show.

We had the little kids dress up as the nativity. Kennedy was such a cute Mary.

We always do a dollar gift exchange where you pass the presents left or right according to the story. Cameron was loving being between Josh and Colin (his friends as he refers to them). He thought he was one of the big boys.

Christmas at the Joneses

We started off the weekend with the kids opening this present to stay and Grandma and Papa's. Cameron and Kennedy were so thrilled. Cam had seen it at Costco before, so of course he said this is just what I told them I wanted. He played there most of the weekend. He even said that Kennedy could play with the trees.

Cameron was of course very proper and exact on what he wanted for Christmas. He went and told Santa that he wanted Handy Manny Big Construction Job Toy. He was so brave!

I love the progression of Kennedy in these pictures. At first she just checked him out.

Kinda of not liking it.

Then, she freaked out. Good first Santa experience.

Decorating the Tree

We let the kids decorate the tree, but it was bedtime and we knew it would take forever. So in the morning when it looked different Tyson explained how the elves came and finished it for us. Cameron thought that was just great. After we cleared up what elves were and not elephants.

First Snow of the Year

Cameron loves the snow! He is all about it! He could not wait for Tyson to get home to build a snowman with him. We had to buy big carrots at the grocery store. He would live out there in the snow if he could. I don't know if I have every seen a kid enjoy it more.

Thanksgiving

I know pretty embarrassing that I am just posting this. The blog was put on the back burner. But, today was the day to finally update. Thanksgiving was kind of different this year, because Tyson had to work. We were all super bummed about it. But, his resident was super nice and totally let him off early, so he surprised us and made it right after we finished eating. It was so good to have him there. We were at the Joneses in Draper. Then on Friday we took off after Tyson got off of work and headed to Idaho with Tyson's extended family. It was a fast trip, but filled with fun and family.

We celebrated Christmas in Idaho, since all the extended family was together. The kids were so spoiled and loving every minute of it!

Gammy and Papa Papa got them these cute animal pillows and sleeping bags. Every time Kennedy sees it she says aaww and lays her head on it. She sleeps with it all the time. Cameron also enjoys them.

He seriously loves this boat we couldn't get him out of the bath tub the whole trip.
